Hey y'all and welcome back to the Forget Me Not Diaries... Today we are discussing why we have decided to take a step back from the podcast. We need a break. We've been burning ourselves out to the point that we haven't wanted to record anything anymore, and it feels like we only ever have time to hang out if its to work on the podcast, which isnt fair to our friendship either. We aren't really sure what it will look like when we are ready to take a step back into podcasting but we are sure it'll look different from what we've played with so far. We love this podcast, please do not mistake us, but our mental health and friendship mean more to us than any project. This project is very near and dear to our hearts and hopefully this won't be goodbye forever, but a see you next time. Thank you everyone for your continued support and love. Thank you for your encouragement and interest. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We love you all so much, and hope you understand why this was necessary for us.

We talk about Dorothy’s relationship with god, being in a church, going to be a missionary, trying to finish school when COVID broke out, her spiritual awakening and if that’s not enough; we also ask about trading one toxic relationship with the church for another toxic relationship with a partner. We chat about her challenges & how she constantly is trying to people please & how that has affected who she has become. We also find out about how it feels to be “alone” & truly finding yourself in all the mess of what we call “life”. Dorothy is a very inspiring person & to have sit down with her for an hour & talk about everything she has faced in the world this isn’t even half of it! Season 2 Episode 4: Brea's Birthday!

Welcome back to the Forget Me Not Diaries, on this week’s episode we are celebrating Brea’s birthday! We recorded this episode on October 30th, the day before Halloween, or the best day of the year as Brea would call it. Brea has and always will, love birthdays. Birthdays are a beautiful celebration of beginnings, of endings, of life in the face of death. In this episode we go over some of Brea’s favorite memories about birthdays past, and how her birthday is literally so close to Halloween that all her birthdays were Halloween birthday parties. Not that Brea ever minded, as she loves the holiday. Brea’s parents have been a subject of discussion on this podcast regarding ways they might have made mistakes as parents, but one way they always came through was Brea’s birthdays. They were extra, they were spooky, and damn it they were fun as hell. So join us on this birthday themed episode and in celebrating Brea as she embarks on another year of this journey we call life. Season 2 Episode 3: Palmistry with Shaina

This week on the Forget Me Not Diaries, we are exploring the subject of palmistry with the wonderful Shaina! Shaina is a local oddities shop owner and palm reader! Brea became acquainted with Shaina through both from the creative writing group they are both participants of, CreativiTea -- also known as the group one of past guests, Krysta Voskowsky, had cofounded -- and also from the spiritual community here in Alaska. Shaina hosts Spiritual Socials at her oddities shop, La Galeria de Keown. These spiritual events are usually presented with a topic for discussion and they are free to attend! In fact on the day this episode comes out (October 29th, 2023) she is hosting one of her Spiritual Socials at her shop at 1:30 pm! This week's discussion is Ouija boards! In this episode Tyra and Brea totally geek out listening to Shaina explain some history of palmistry, the divide between intuitive palm readers and formula palm readers, and then she even graces us with some short palm readings of our own!
