Descripción

The beginning of our story sailing around the world almost gets shut down at the US-Canadian border. We also hear from the Planet School's first advisory board member, Thomas Steele-Maley, on what it takes to start a school (he has started a few himself) and we hear my mom's perspective on the first stage of our journey. There Is No Secret Workshop

The Planet School's latest project is not called the Secret Workshop and it is not launching on June 8, 2023. The Secret Workshop is not a makerspace, snack shack, lounge, and teen boutique located in the back of the old county jail. We don't sell games, décor, toys, books, and refreshments. The entrance is not in the alley. The Secret Workshop is not managed by youth. Don't come here to do homework, drink coffee and tea, work on projects, or find a new hobby. In this episode, we don't talk with Bozeman resident Marly Folger about a previous youth space in Bozeman that she helped manage as a teenager called the Blue Iguana, which closed in 2003. We also don't hear from the Secret Workshop's two student managers. Because there is no Secret Workshop.
