When you don't receive the attention you need as a child, your relationship with your parents is strained, you feel shamed for being who you are, you turn to drugs to cope and your love life has an abundance of spectators, it becomes real easy to just give up. But, not for Tish... I had the pleasure of sitting down with the dynamic Tish Brown and discussing how she decided to learn from all of her hardships instead of succumbing to them in order to create a better life for herself and her daughter. She shared with us how she dealt with her parents' unfavorable reactions to her sexuality, how she found her way to the military, how she bounced back from a failed engagement in a public relationship and the people that have been on her side every step of the way. I'm honored to have been apart of this display of vulnerability and grateful I get to share it with all of you. Overcoming Procrastination: Eliminating the All-Or-Nothing Mindset

The title says enough, doesn't it? I don't know anyone who hasn't wrestled with procrastination, but I do know we procrastinate for different reasons. One of mine, is that I don't like to do anything in portions. I like to start and finish things in the same sitting. But, operating like this wasn't getting me anywhere so I decided I had to figure something out. Here's what I've come up with so far. And I think there's something incredible to be said of the person who, while exploring and falling into the depths of their own mind, may make peace with, and learn to honor all parts of themselves that they encounter - or at least, try to.
