A new episode of the "From the Fabricator" podcast is now available for your holiday listening/watching pleasure. Mark Seeton of Vitro was an excellent time for me, he answered a few glass geek questions for me, including what the game-changing product in our space from his organization was, and the biggest industry change over the span of his career. Plus, he legit stunned me on the “fun” question, too. And his input on the forecast was very insightful/helpful. Then I caught up with Danielle Whatley of Texstar Glazing. Danielle is a growing force in our space, and getting her take on “being on the other side,” as in working at a fabricator, along with what drives her and her company, was super refreshing. Overall, yet another fun podcast! These are really rolling now, and I still have 10 more guests to go this year, and the support blows me away. Thanks again for watching & listening!! This episode is brought to with support from FHC Frameless Hardware Company FHC is redefining what a panic exit device can be. Fun new episode of the From the Fabricator podcast is HERE. I caught up with two dynamic people with interesting backgrounds. I start with Karolina Styk of Press Glass. Super bright and passionate for our industry. It was cool to hear about her journey from Poland to the US and how she’s really leaned into the whole glass industry space, both in products and culture. Next, I visited with Corey Thompson of Pellucere. Impressive guy with serious credentials, and he and his team are developing some game-changing products. Corey’s journey was unique as well, and I love his dedication to his alma mater and how that’s now paying off for his company. I enjoy bringing new stories to the forefront, and these two fit the bill nicely. Thanks in advance for checking it out! FHC - Frameless Hardware Company sponsored this episode. While others raise prices and scale back, FHC is investing forward. As vendor memos roll out with sweeping increases and vague “market conditions,” FHC is choosing a different path: expanding product lines, opening new Service Centers, and growing support and production teams. Instead of passing the pressure downstream, FHC is absorbing as much as possible — staying committed to competitive pricing, innovative products, and top-tier service. FHC isn’t just here to sell to the industry — they’re here to support it, grow with it, and lead it forward. FHC is committed to standing with its customers. Fun new podcast episode is up! The latest From the Fabricator features two individuals whose Fathers were in the business, and they have applied the lessons learned from them to make significant strides in their own careers. I start with Brady Nails of MT Contracting in Montana. Extensive conversation that had a ton of interesting nuggets, including training and recruitment, along with insight on AI in the industry. Then Mike DeFrank joined me. Mike just landed at Country Glass in Dallas, and it was great to get his perspective on various aspects of the business, including business development in a softer market and working in all aspects of our business. Two talented individuals who will be players in our space for a long time —and who knows, maybe their kids will follow in their footsteps too! Thank you, as always, for checking it out. I appreciate it! Thank you to FHC-Frameless Hardware Company for sponsoring this episode. While others raise prices and scale back, FHC is investing forward. New podcast for you covering two ends of the spectrum. I’ve got a company that is almost 100, and then one that is just getting going. It was very cool stuff. Kicking it off, I had Said Elieh and Peter Stattler of Bendheim. These two were very entertaining and informative, and I loved gaining insight into the iconic Bendheim brand and process, as well as what they’re seeing out there. Then I connected with the super sharp Ted Baumgardner of Guthrie Automation/Guthrie AI. Ted is in the lead position when it comes to integrating AI into our space, and I believe he has the background and drive to deliver. Neat to get to know him too. He’s just scratching the surface. Both interviews were a blast, and I continue to be honored to get people like this on the pod, as well as all of you checking it out! Thank you!! Thank you to our Spansor FHC! FHC supports glaziers. It’s what they do. Be it installer-friendly product innovation, unmatched customer service, or lightning-fast lead times… FHC is in the business of supporting the glazing professional, and they’ve got the track record to back that claim. NEW "From the Fabricator” podcast for you, and once again, I am super lucky to have extraordinary guests. This time out, we start with Brian Risinger, the brilliant owner at Country Glass & Mirror and also the current President of the Texas Glass Association. Brian is super sharp and authentic to the core. An interesting path to today, and then some really frank insights on our space and how to improve it. Fun conversation on all, especially the comparison of “The Shawshank Redemption” and our industry. Then I go overseas to talk with Tom Caldicott of Unity Search—fresh perspectives and thoughts on our world from a guy coming at it from a different angle. Given that Tom is extremely connected with some of the biggest and best façade folks in our industry, I loved hearing what’s happening out there. I was on Tom’s pod earlier this year and I enjoyed getting to return the favor here. Good stuff. THANK YOU!!
