Descripción

I promised some tough talks, friends, and this week, it’s time to dig in on one of those. Let’s talk the Holy Bible.  This episode will discuss the history of the Bible, how it came to be, and who, how, and why it got changed in the 1500s leading to two different Bibles being widely circulated today; a 73 book Bible and a 66 book Bible.  So which is the true Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit? Let’s talk about it!  As we wrap up our time together, let us finish with a powerful prayer invoking our guardian angels, patron saints, Mother Mary, and the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Why do Catholics baptize infants?

Let’s talk about it - infant baptism. On this episode we will explore baptism, what it is and its significance, why Catholics baptize their babies & of course point to both scripture as well as apostolic/tradition for the authority the church finds to set this precedent for the sacrament.  With January 22nd, the Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children, set by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to mark the anniversary of Roe v. Wade and pray for life from conception approaching, we will pray together for the unborn, for the sanctity of all life, for parents, and for lawmakers affecting the laws surrounding life.  Midway through the podcast episode we will pause for a brief moment of prayer; praying to Our Lady of Champion using the prayer by Bishop David L. Ricken courtesy of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion. As we wrap up our time together, let us finish with a powerful prayer invoking our guardian angels, patron saints, Mother Mary, and the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
