Selected as a NASA astronaut in 2009, she has led the development of spaceflight hardware and techniques for studying molecular and cellular biology in microgravity and contributed to the design and testing of NASA’s next-generation lunar spacesuits. She has completed two long-duration missions, four spacewalks, and spent 300 days aboard the International Space Station. Her current work bridges space exploration and global health, with a focus on genomics, synthetic biology, and biomedical innovation.

Daniel is an American architect, space architect, and researcher. He is the founder of Daniel Inocente Architecture, a New York-based firm delivering innovative and sustainable designs across residential, commercial, mixed-use and aerospace sectors. His experience includes working with Frank Gehry, NASA, Blue Origin and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Daniel served as a Senior Space Architect at Blue Origin, where he worked on government and commercial habitation and space systems. He is also a Professor of Practice in Architecture at Arizona State University, where he teaches design studios including technical courses on building systems as well as courses for the MSD in Space Architecture and Extreme Environments.
