General Curiosity
Jamestown continues to be less “new world opportunity” and more “chaotic group project where everyone hates each other,” as leadership drama, starvation, and wildly bad decisions pile up. John Smith alternates between being the colony’s most capable leader and its most exhausting menace, bullying food from the Powhatan while also helping keep the settlement barely afloat. Meanwhile, the Powhatan Confederacy is watching closely, playing their own strategic game as English arrogance and desperation grow harder to hide. By the end, Jamestown is still standing—but just barely—and it’s becoming painfully clear that things are about to get much, much worse.
