Imagination in the Wild explores some of the many roles that informal or non-formal organizations play in shaping teaching and learning across Arizona. We talk with leaders from three organizations that support informal learning in or near Phoenix. Panelist Bios: Beth Tyrell-Prevost has been teaching art in public schools for over 30 years. Her experience ranges from grades K-8. In her current role, she travels to 25 different schools with the iMAGITORIUM program which serves grade K-3 in Mesa Public Schools. Dylan Wince is a high school American history and psychology teacher at Tempe High School. The first six years of his teaching career he was a middle school social studies teacher in South Dakota. Dylan is also the Vice President of his local teachers union, Tempe Secondary Education Association. As an active member of the Union, Dylan is a Facilitator Learner in NEA, National Education Association, Leaders for Just Schools, a three-year program centered around equity in racial and social justice work. These roles have led Dylan to foster community, equity and amplifying student voices through expanding their demonstration of learning to outside the four walls of the classroom and beyond the campus.  Jamie Rapkiewcz has been a science teacher for many years and has worked with teachers in the United States and Brazil. She currently works as the Elementary Science Content Specialist for Mesa Public Schools. Jamie is passionate about helping students manage their uncertainties, deepen their science connections, and design solutions to challenges in their community.
