I was supposed to be at my man’s niece’s birthday party, hair laid and outfit ready to give soft auntie vibes 🎀 — but life had other plans. His grandma passed away 🕊💔, and everything shifted. I take some time to open up about how much his grandma meant to me. From the very first time I met her during a 10-day trip to DR, she welcomed me with the sweetest heart. I never got to meet my own grandparents, so she truly felt like the grandma I never had. In this episode, I dedicate a prayer to her memory, honoring her long, beautiful life and the love she left behind. At the same time, I also had my brother’s wedding to attend 💍✨. My man was supposed to be my plus-one, but since he couldn’t be there, I had to show up solo. And let me tell y’all — walking into that wedding alone taught me a powerful lesson. Sometimes you can’t control who shows up for you, but you can always control how you show up for yourself. Period. 💡 Main Lesson of This Episode: Life is always gonna throw us curveballs. Plans will get canceled. People won’t always be able to make it. Joy and grief can show up at the same damn time. But what matters most is how you respond. Are you gonna shrink?
