I Thought It Would Be Better

Maz clarifies the statement that, "If the pursuits of the world actually fulfilled us then it would invalidate Jesus." Have you ever accomplished something, purchased something, or reached any kind of goal and thought... "I thought it would be better?" Finding purpose and meaning in life is how you can reach real satisfaction and rest, but how do we do that and what does it take? How do we do this without hvaing to experience pain and suffering? We will all experience pain in suffering in our life, but we're talking about the kind that is self-inflicted. How do we avoid that type of suffering? In America we're bombarded with the falsehood that our identity is rooted in our success. We need to avoid this trap is we're going to experience true freedom to live as a chilf of God. How do we live our lives in a way that is profoundly different than the world? How do we get off the sidelines and live boldly? What's Your Worldview?

We start with the question everyone on planet earth must answer and that is... What's your worldview? We've been invited on a great adventure, and it's up to us what that look like. All of us will inveitably serve something and build something. If we know the answer to the question, then anyone around us will be able to see what it is that we serve and create in our lives. I was nervous starting out recording our first episode and butchered the Maxwell quote. Actually I just reversed it. "If you want to impress people, then tell them about your successes. If you want to move people, then tell them about your failures."
