Descripción

Description: In this teaching from John 15:3–6, we look at Jesus’ call to be more than forgiven—to be cleansed, pruned, and made fruitful. Jesus does not just pardon sin and leave us unchanged. His word cleanses us, confronts what does not belong, and forms a life that bears real fruit. This message is a call to stop settling for proximity without surrender, to receive the word of Christ, abide in Him, and let the life of the vine produce what only He can produce in us. Do not fake fruit. Return to the vine.

Not As the World Gives: Peace That Costs Everything

On the eve of the crucifixion, Jesus looks His disciples in the eyes and tells them the truth: trouble is coming. The cross will scatter them. The hatred of the world will oppose them. Some will suffer brutally for His name. And yet—Jesus leaves them something the world can’t produce or steal: His peace. In this episode, we sit in John 14:27 and confront the conflict so many believers live with: trying to hold Jesus in one hand and the world in the other. The world’s peace is unstable—built on control, comfort, and circumstances. But the peace of Christ is anchored in a Person, and it holds through storms, valleys, loss, and pressure. This is a call to real discipleship: deny yourself, take up your cross daily, and follow Him (Luke 9:23). We don’t camp in the valley—we walk straight through, because the Shepherd is with us. And when we surrender what we still worship, we don’t become empty—we become free.

Laying the foundation - Book of John - Week 53

On the night before the cross, Jesus wasn’t just comforting His disciples—He was securing the foundation of the Church. In John 14, Jesus prepares the apostles for betrayal, suffering, and His departure, making it clear that what looks like loss is actually God’s plan being fulfilled. He promises the Helper—the Holy Spirit—not only to comfort them, but to preserve the truth of His words, protect the purity of the gospel, and establish an unshakable apostolic witness. This message explores: * Why John 14:25–26 was a foundation-level promise given uniquely to the apostles * How the Holy Spirit secured the gospel so the Church would be built on truth, not fragile memory * The difference between the Spirit’s role then (foundation) and now (illumination) * How the Spirit still teaches, reminds, and confirms truth in believers today—without creating new doctrine We believe in a living God who still speaks, leads, and empowers His people. But we also believe the Spirit never replaces the Word—He lights it up. Same Spirit. Different assignment. Foundation then. Illumination now.
