Podcast de Heaven & Healing Podcast

Welcome to Heaven & Healing Podcast. Formerly known as Moon and Back Podcast, this was once a place of astrology, yoga, new age spirituality and self-healing. In October 2021, I opened my heart to Jesus Christ and accepted Him as my Lord and Savior later that year. By December, I was convicted by the Holy Spirit to rebrand my podcast and denounce new age spirituality as I officially declared my identity in Christianity. On February 22, 2022, Heaven & Healing was officially born. On Heaven & Healing, I share testimonies from others who have been saved by Christ - from other former new agers, to former witches, former addicts, former atheists and so much more. I also bring on Biblical scholars to share knowledge of the history, context, and meaning of Scripture. Additionally discussed are experiences from my own life, political commentary and cultural discourse as it all relates to God and His Word. For any believer or non-believer, this podcast is for you, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

episode ”There’s a God-shaped Hole in All of Us” with Naela Rose artwork
”There’s a God-shaped Hole in All of Us” with Naela Rose

Episode 5 of Heaven & Healing Podcast features my beloved sister in Christ, Naela Rose. Naela is an ex-occultist with a background in womb worship, menstrual magic, psychic mediumship, yoga and goddess work both personally and professionally before Jesus saved her from the deception she was living in. She pulled a complete 180 and gave up her business over a year ago, and has lived in stewardship to the Lord ever since. In this conversation, Naela shares her coming-to-Christ testimony, leading us into discussion of the God-shaped hole in all of us. We talk about how every person on this planet has an innate longing within for God because He designed us to need Him; however, we live in a secular, global society that benefits and profits from convincing the masses that this longing can be self-fulfilled with what the world has to offer. Consequently, us humans attempt to fill the void with sex, sport, food, drugs, alcohol, intellectualism, porn, music, personal-actualization, or new-age spirituality as Naela and both fell victim to. God created every being that has ever or will ever live. We are made in His image, in His likeness, in His love, and therefore we need Him, as children of the Heavenly Father. But because God’s love is unconditional, He will never force us to accept this truth. He has declared free will for His children, and therefore we have been given the personal responsibility to recognize that need for Him. Because we are designed to need, love and serve Him — for He loves and delights in us — we are inherently programmed to worship something. Therefore, if it’s not God we rightfully choose, we will try fitting square pegs into round holes and find something to worship. We are wired that way. So without God, we become obsessed with or addicted to things, people, and relationships that we think will quench the internal thirst, only to be continually left high and dry because God is the Living Water. Many modalities of self-worship to idol-worship that we reach for in an attempt to fill the void that only God can fulfill within us, because He is the one who put it there. +subscribe to the podcast if you haven’t already +leave a 5 star rating and written review +share this podcast +Instagram: @angelamarieucci +find Naela on Instagram @undone_by_grace +take a screenshot of you listening and tag me to your story so I can mention and thank you personally

episode Dangers of Self-Help Culture artwork
Dangers of Self-Help Culture

Self + self = more self. Self-love, self-hate, self-help — it’s all one in the same, because the root is the same: SELF. In this episode, I talk about the dangers of self-help culture, which include: assuming that we are good enough as is, capitulating a society that is literally SELF-centered, and watering down/edifying the biblical God—if not ignoring Him altogether to opt out for the “higher self” narrative instead. No matter how you spin it, self-help has one goal: self-actualization. Self-healing. A concept that sounds pretty to the ears, but ultimately defies Scripture. Self-help keeps our sights set on the mirror and whatever that reflection can finitely offer back to us, instead of on Jesus and our promised eternal salvation in Him. The thing about striving for self-actualization/healing within this personal development movement is that we do genuinely go into it with the best intentions — to grow and be better people — but the intention remains self-motivated, rather than for the glory of God, which leads us to idolatry of the self, creating more need for the self and no room for the Lord. With self-help culture, before you know it, you are so full of yourself that you don’t even realize how hungry you truly are for God. The reason you HAVE the hunger to grow that led you to self-help is because God designed you to need Him (John 15:4-5). You are hungry because it is GOD who feeds you your daily bread — not affirmations in the mirror, or daily journals, or a routine, or mindset training, or manifestation, or whatever else self-help falsely promises as the “thing” to help you heal you. So does this mean we should neglect our wellbeing? Absolutely not. It just means that we stop going within to find healing when that’s the same place we find our strife. The self cannot be both the problem and the solution—logically, it’s a fallacy. So instead, we focus on self-sacrifice over self-help: laying our life at the Lord’s feet and stop exalting the self & our efforts as if we ourselves are the god of our life. Stop reaching for the best of life and instead receive the life in Christ. If you were good enough on your own, you would have “done it” by now — you need Him. Desperately. We all do. episode Divine Feminine is NOT Divine! with Jessica Torres artwork
Divine Feminine is NOT Divine! with Jessica Torres

Heaven & Healing Podcast episode 3 features my sister in Christ, Jessica Torres: ex-new ager who had a 6 figure business helping women ‘heal’ through sensuality, sex and divine feminine empowerment. She taught on popular gnostic topics such as Mary Magdalene priestess-hood and embodying our relationship to God through the goddess spirit within, all before her unexpected conviction of the Holy Spirit that lifted the veil to show her that Jesus Christ is the only truth. She gave up her business, lost her romantic relationship, and joyfully laid her life at the Lord’s feet. In this conversation, we dive into the deceit of the divine feminine movement, how destructive it actually is in contrast to the healing that it promises, and unpack a range of topics within that realm — from sex, sensuality, trauma, relationships and more. Our goal with this dialogue is to share how true feminine empowerment does not come from defiance of the Creator, His Living Word, nor from “crushing the patriarchy” or becoming more culturally & socially astute than men — it actually comes from the surrender and submission to our Savior Jesus Christ. Women want to live by their own rules, with no sense of order or structure, because it feels good to our flesh and to our ego when we lack discipline or obedience. But this lifestyle of self-worship only leaves us craving more of that sensuality, giving us a false sense of security within the guise of ‘flowing goddess energy’ rather than bringing true fulfillment that can only come from living in accordance to God’s will. The mindset that God’s will (Christ->man->woman->child) is oppressive is a radial misrepresentation of His Word. What’s oppressive is the belief that there is freedom in the divine feminine, because you are imprisoned by your own flesh when you only live for your own desires. When you live within the structure of God, you are free from the world and resurrected in the Holy Spirit. The devil promises freedom in the world by leading you to submit to yourself and abandon God. God promises eternity by asking you to abandon the world and submit to Him. +Instagram: @angelamarieucci +Find Jessica on Instagram @imjessicatorres +Heaven & Healing Podcast available on YouTube, Apple or Spotify +leave a 5-star rating and written review on whichever platform you listen or watch!

episode Sin, Suffering and Salvation artwork
Sin, Suffering and Salvation

In this episode, I dive into the Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Romans (KJV) where Paul’s overall message is how salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone: not in our good works, nor who we are, but by our faith in Him. I elaborate on Paul’s Epistle as it profoundly breaks down God’s righteousness in four parts throughout the book: how His righteousness is needed by us, how it is provided by Him, how it is justified and how it is to be practiced. With God’s righteousness highlighted, that brings the topic of sin to the forefront of this episode — how we are sinful creatures by nature and therefore cannot save ourselves from the sin in which we are born into physically, which is why we must be willing to be born again spiritually in Christ. I invite both believers and non-believers alike to tune in, as there is something in this message for all of us. As Christians, this episode serves as a reminder that we are no better than any unsaved person, for we are just as ungodly in our flesh, and with that, to remember that even in our walk with Christ we will still struggle with hardship, pain and temptation. For non-believers, it is an inquiry of how well your self-authority has been working for you in terms of your suffering and invites you to consider how your lack of faith in God still requires your faith in the disbelief, therefore you do have the capacity of faith to place in Him after all. While being resurrected in Christ does not make us sinless, it does free us of the bondage of this fallen world because we are no longer living for the flesh, but for the Father. Thus, we are resurrected from the death of sin our body provides and made new in our spirit from what His righteousness provides. Suffering may not always be our choice in this human experience, but our salvation in Christ always is, because He has given it to us freely for the taken. Although God does not promise us an easy life, He does indeed promise us eternal life. There will be no new M&B episode but am saving for now to showcase how very real this transformation is — If you would have told me this time last year that in 365 days time, the podcast I had JUST launched a month prior would be dead and gone… buried along with the rest of my former astrology life… because instead of an esoteric self-healing podcast, I’d be starting my own ministry to talk about how much I love Jesus, I would have asked where I could buy whatever shrooms you were tripping on! And that’s the truth. I never imagined myself to be a “Jesus person” — and frankly, I didn’t get them. I didn’t understand why people who loved Jesus so much made it a point to let everyone else know. But it truly is one of those IYKYK things because… if you know, you know. There is nothing like His love, yes, but there is ESPECIALLY nothing like his salvation. See, both are given to us freely — His love and salvation — but it is not up to us to be loved by Him, because we simply are. To have His love is a given. To experience His love is another thing entirely, though — because THAT is a choice. To experience his love is to first WELCOME the salvation that He is so eager, willing and joyful to give you. Of the near decade I spent engulfed in the false light of new age spirituality — no fancy esoteric modality, technique or practice has ever brought me the true soul healing that Jesus Christ has given me in a few short months in accepting Him as my Lord and Savior. Turns out it wasn’t a blocked charka. Turns out it wasn’t my Venus in Cancer. Turns out it wasn’t an energy imbalance. Turns out it wasn’t an old karmic debt or past-life trauma resurfacing. Turns out I didn’t need to carry an obsidian in my bra every day. Turns out, I was missing God. The TRUE, LIVING God, that is. I had formed an idol of who I believed God should be based on how I felt, as many do in the new age, so I THOUGHT I knew Him, but I was only experiencing the counterfeit Christ who tells us to follow our heart. Jesus was clear. Follow Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 In this first episode of Heaven & Healing Podcast, I share my personal new age to Jesus testimony, talk about the difference between God’s unconditional love vs. unconditional tolerance, discuss what type of content you can expect from future podcast episodes, and so much more. The scripture focus of this episode is Isiah 47:13 — AKA the verse that finally did me in and admit astrology was not God’s will. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts and hope you are looking forward to more. Sending love to you all. Blessed be. Praise God!
