Hope

This week, we take a look at the role of hope in Christianity. Below are a few links to the polls cited in the episode: * Marist College conducted a poll in December of 2021 that showed only 49% [https://maristpoll.marist.edu/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Marist-Poll_USA-NOS-and-Tables_Holiday_202112101020.pdf] of Americans were more optimistic than pessimistic about the world going into 2022; that was the lowest number they had seen in this poll since Marist started conducting it in 2009. * An Ipsos poll from the beginning of this year found that 7 in ten Americans [https://www.ipsos.com/en-us/seven-ten-americans-say-country-crisis-risk-failing] saw the country in crisis, at risk of failing. * A Gallup poll taken in February measured the happiness of Americans [https://news.gallup.com/file/poll/389318/220202IssueSatisfaction.pdf]. Just 38% said they were satisfied across 29 different measurements.
