Descripción

Listener discretion advised: references to child sexual abuse, gun violence, rape, and death. There are no detailed descriptions. When Stacey was 18 years old, she shot and killed her father who had been sexually abusing her for many years. The night she shot him he had just abused her little sister for the first time. She was convicted of murder and sentenced to life without parole. Her story is powerful. She wrote a memoir, called Redemption, which is available anywhere books are sold. Episode 2: Rachel and Zaadii

Listener Discretion Advised: there is a description of a car accident, resulting injuries, and the death of a child.  In 2015 Rachel and two of her kids were hit by a distracted driver. Her 3 year-old son, Zaadii, was killed. Rachel asked the woman who was driving the car to enter into a Navajo Peacemaking process, which brought them face-to-face. This is a powerful story about loss and forgiveness.  To listen to or purchase Jonah Littlesunday's song, Zaadii's Dance, visit https://canyonrecords.bandcamp.com/track/zaadii-s-dance [https://canyonrecords.bandcamp.com/track/zaadii-s-dance] To learn more about Sihasin, the band behind the song at the end of the episode: https://sihasin.com/sihasin-qr-page/ Thomas Walker, the peacemaker, has offered that anyone with questions about peacemaking can email him. Message me through the podcast submission form and I will send along his email address.  To submit a story for the podcast, visit https://zeoboekbinder.com/podcast [https://zeoboekbinder.com/podcast]
