Fireside Chat with Freddie Longe

In this month's episode we are talking to the leader of IMG ARENA, Freddie Longe.  Freddie formed what was formally known as IMG Gaming back in 2012 and has been the guiding force behind the business for the past ten years. We talk to him about how he started his career at IMG and how he created the idea of the business that we know today as IMG ARENA. Those hidden talents range from being silver medal winning American football coaches to film directors to actors, pilots, singers and artists.  We will be learning how they got introduced to their talents, challenges and successes they’ve experienced and how they balance their time with their talent outside of work. VGTT, more than just another acronym

Welcome to episode 4 of the IMG ARENA Podcast series!   This month we are talking to some of the Technology Team. We hear from Principal Security Engineer, Val Botnari, Lead Developer, Les Cochrane, and Senior Software Developer, Alessio Marucci - also within Les’ VGT Team (listen to hear all about who the VGT team are!).   As usual we start the episode with Steph’s ice breaker questions and then get into it!   We learn about IMG ARENA’s very different Tech Teams, an insight into where their team names come from (some are influenced by US TV Shows!) and we also discuss misconceptions about working in technology.   We also hear a couple of very cool claims to fame as well as Steph’s usual “Ridiculous Questions Section.”   Listen to the episode in full here.

First jobs and Grad Schemes

Welcome to episode 3 of the IMG ARENA Podcast series!   Who remembers their first job? Well, this month’s episode is all about first jobs and grad schemes.   We hear from Ariane Power who is the Events Executive within the Marketing Team, Ed Felton who is a Research and Data Analyst in the Rights Team and finally John Medina who is currently on our new Technology Grad Scheme and has only been with us for a few weeks.   For them all, IMG ARENA is the first step in the beginning of their career, with Ariane joining the company as part of the IMG Intern Programme, Ed joining after having completed his master’s degree and John being one of the first recruits on our Graduate Scheme. All three share what attracted them to the company, what they’ve been up to so far and what we can do to make IMG ARENA an even more exciting place to work.   Happy listening!
