(I get it, I was adorable.) Once he realized his mistake, he brought her flowers to make up for it. That story always stuck with me because it’s a reminder that even when the baby is the center of the world, we can’t forget the women who carried them here. My dad always told me to learn from his successes and his mistakes, and this was a big one. It is so easy to lose your partner and yourself. When you have a baby. I’ve been with her every day of her life, and I’m thinking, "How you going to do daddy like that?" But after the initial sting, I realized how lucky I am. She's with people she loves so much that she doesn't want to leave.
