InSight Out
What if you had something important to say… but no way to say it out loud? Elizabeth Bonker is autistic and nonverbal, yet she stood as her class valedictorian and delivered a commencement speech using text-to-speech technology. No spoken words—just a message that still carried weight. Having a voice isn’t always about volume or delivery. Sometimes the real question is… are we using the voice we’ve been given, in whatever form it comes? Or are we waiting for it to look a certain way before we step forward? Scripture (NIV): 1 Peter 4:10 — “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” Reflection Questions: Have you been holding back because your voice doesn’t look or sound the way you think it should? What would it look like to use what you’ve been given—exactly as it is? 👉 Join the conversation on the IOM FB Page: We'd love to hear your thoughts.
