The seer Calchas reveals that the goddess Artemis is the source of their misfortune, angry over Agamemnons slight against her. To appease her wrath and restore the winds, Agamemnon is faced with an unthinkable choice sacrifice his beloved daughter, Iphigenia. Torn between duty and despair, Agamemnon must weigh the potential rebellion of his restless troops against the heart-wrenching decision he must make.
