Development in The Salvation Army - Seeing the Vision, Hearing the Cry This week we are overjoyed to have Major Angela Hachitapika from the Zambian Territory and Virgilio Suande from the new Mozambique Territory join regulars Court, Strickland, Walters, Whitehead and Bussey in a heart-felt conversation about Development in The Salvation Army. We explore what development is and how it is at the heart of the mission of The Salvation Army. We explore the need for an interconnected relationship of Salvationists around the world (East and West, North and South) in which we are not only aware of the needs of The Army, but of a world that is hurting deeply from the curse of sin. We hear some wonderful stories of the work we are doing in Africa - which is a continent that speaks to us all about how we who are motivated by the love of God can engage in a holistic, Holy Spirit-centered ministry of empowerment, development and transformation that is not only focused on the temporal, but also the eternal well-being of the last, the lost and the least.
