This week, Hedge interviews Vic Crittenden (@parkouracle [https://www.instagram.com/parkouracle/]). A community organiser with DC Metro Parkour (DCMP) [https://www.facebook.com/groups/153613838036834/].  They talked about Vic's approach to parkour, his odd sleeping habits and their shared fascination with parkour geekery. They dived deep into: - Statistical analysis in parkour and how to get information out of data. - How it's always important to look at the outliers and the ones who don't fit the standard data set. - What it means to be a community leader and thinking about engaging all the people who use a space. - The link between parkour and civil rights and how different communities use parkour for different needs.

07 - Dr. Richard Marshall on Fun, Fear and Function

Dr. Richard Marshall (@rmmarshall [https://www.instagram.com/rmmarshall/]) is an older practitioner based in Edinburgh Scotland. He originally planned to speak about 'Fun, Fear and Function' at an event called 'Art of Retreat [https://www.instagram.com/artofretreat/]', but due to Covid, he never got to deliver it. In the podcast we broke down Fun, Fear and Function and the realities of accessible parkour coaching. We also connected many of the theories of accessible coaching to the realities of what's happening at the class. Richard wanted to use the podcast to advocate for many other older practitioners out there. So here's a list he came up with: @ehtraining [instagram.com/ehtraining] @audax.corde [https://www.instagram.com/audax.corde] @osvaldo_parkour [https://www.instagram.com/osvaldo_parkour] @briandavidhorn [https://www.instagram.com/briandavidhorn] @denise.hesketh.7 [https://www.instagram.com/denise.hesketh.7] @somebodysysop [https://www.instagram.com/somebodysysop] @gustavomacintosh [https://www.instagram.com/gustavmacintosh] @pkover40 [https://www.instagram.com/pkover40] @parkourover40 [https://www.instagram.com/parkourover40] @gnrosane [https://www.instagram.com/gnrosane] @parkour_40s [https://www.instagram.com/parkour_40s] @un_chauve_en_baskets [https://www.instagram.com/un_chauve_en_baskets] @latebloomerluan [https://www.instagram.com/latebloomerluan]   And some in the atypical category: @little.parkour.hulk [https://www.instagram.com/little.parkour.hulk] @parkour_racky [https://www.instagram.com/parkour_racky] @thatfatfreerunner [https://www.instagram.com/thatfatfreerunner]   And here are some hashtags: #parkourover60 #parkourover50  #parkourover40 #parkourinmy60s #fitover40 #fitover50 #fitover60 #fitnessover60 #nevertoooldtodoparkour #pk4life #parkourforlife #pk60 #neverstopmoving   Follow us on Instagram: @JumpintoParkour [https://www.instagram.com/jumpintoparkour] Or visit the website [https://www.jumpintoparkour.com]
