KSJE On The Road "Live from 2026 Riverfest New Mexico!" : With Nate Duckett, Natalie Spruell, & Scott Michlin
Riverfest in Farmington officially kicked off at Berg Park with opening ceremonies featuring speeches from Mayor Nate Duckett, Parks and Recreation Director Natalie Spruell, and organizers from the River Reach Foundation. The event celebrates Farmington’s 125th anniversary, the River Reach Foundation’s 40th anniversary, and the community’s connection to the Animas River through parks, recreation, arts, food, and live entertainment. Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy local vendors, live music, raft rides, wiener dog races, art exhibits, and family-friendly activities while taking advantage of free shuttle services and community events. Organizers also highlighted Memorial Day celebrations and Farmington’s recognition as a Purple Heart community, encouraging residents and visitors to honor veterans while enjoying the holiday weekend festivities.
Farmington Museum "Lowrider Culture" : With Nathan Augustine & Scott Michlin
The Farmington Museum is hosting a special lowrider culture exhibit created in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution, featuring photography, videos, and locally owned lowrider cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and artwork from across New Mexico. Museum director Nathan Augustine explained that the exhibit highlights the deep cultural importance of lowriding, including themes of family, faith, friendship, and community pride. Local car clubs worked with the museum for over a year to help showcase some of New Mexico’s most famous lowrider vehicles, including a highly detailed Cadillac known as “Low Rider Heaven.” The exhibit has already drawn thousands of visitors and aims to bring together different communities while celebrating Hispanic and lowrider culture in the Four Corners region. The exhibit runs through July 25 and includes special Saturday programs, demonstrations, and guest presentations connected to lowrider art and history
Four Corners Musical Theater " Sister Act" : With Randy West, & Scott Michlin
Four Corners Musical Theater is preparing to open its production of Sister Act at the Farmington Civic Center, with director Randy West praising the cast, choreography, music, and creative team as they enter final rehearsals. The production blends professional performers with local talent, reflecting the company’s mission to build strong community roots through mentorship and youth involvement. Cast member Koko Blandon described the show as a heartfelt, funny story about sisterhood, resilience, and self-expression, noting that the stage musical features original Broadway songs that differ from the well-known movie version. The interview also highlighted upcoming productions including Grease, Shrek The Musical, and Jekyll & Hyde, along with other live entertainment planned for Farmington audiences.
