LeQuisha the OnPurpose Professional
In this short solo episode, I continue the conversation on The Law of Change by exploring what Dr. Herbert Harris describes as the obstacles to change. In his work, he identifies fear—“false evidence appearing real”—as one of the greatest barriers that keeps people from moving forward. Dr. Harris breaks fear into three common categories: * Fear of change itself * Fear of criticism or what others may think * Fear of failure While I appreciate the clarity he brings to these ideas, I approach them from a different lens—faith. In this episode, I read the passages directly from the text and then reinterpret each of these obstacles through what I call “faithing it.” Instead of rehearsing fear, we practice faith by shifting our language, our focus, and ultimately our choices. I also revisit a poem I wrote in 2023 titled “Choices,” which captures the central truth behind change: our lives move in the direction of the decisions we make. If we keep doing the same things, we should expect the same outcomes. But when we choose differently, we open the door for transformation. This is a short reflection on how faith, language, and conscious choice work together to create real change.
