Chris Sherwood, CEO at the leading charity NSPCC, shares his perspective on this topic and his experience of developing his leadership style over the course of his career in this episode of the podcast. About David Alcock David Alcock is an Executive Coach and is ICF PCC accredited (International Coaching Federation Professional Certified Coach). He works with clients across all sectors and at various levels in their careers, supporting them to unlock their inherent potential. Before retraining as a coach in 2018, David worked for 30 years in leadership and business change roles across all sectors. He has also held a number of charity trustee roles and is an Institute of Directors Chartered Director. About Chris Sherwood: Chris joined the NSPCC [https://www.nspcc.org.uk] in January 2025 from the RSPCA, where he had served as CEO since 2018. He was previously CEO of Relate, having been promoted from Director of Policy and External Affairs, and has also held senior roles at Nesta and Scope. With over 20 years’ experience in the voluntary sector, Chris is a trustee of NCVO and Chair of The Charity Awards. He has served on several boards, including the World Federation for Animals, Eurogroup for Animals and the Centre for Ageing Better. In 2025, he was recognised by Attitude magazine as one of its 101 LGBTQ Trailblazers.
