Descripción

What if the discomfort you're feeling isn’t just about what’s happening, but how you're seeing it? In this episode, I reflect on the idea that our experiences are shaped not only by what we experience, but by the lens we’re looking through. We explore how our beliefs, past wounds, and emotional patterns color our perception - and how inner work and meaningful connection can help us see more clearly. If you’ve been feeling foggy, reactive, or stuck, this one’s for you. It’s a reminder that clarity doesn’t come from fixing everything around you - it starts with turning inward. Journaling prompts: * What story are you telling yourself in this moment - and is it one that brings compassion or criticism? * Is this about what’s actually happening, or about how it feels through a past wound? Resources: * The Book of Awakening | Mark Nepo Want to go deeper? episode #20 When the Inner Critic Is Too Loud artwork

#20 When the Inner Critic Is Too Loud

Lately I’ve been navigating what to do when your inner critic gets too loud. This conversation started after my best friends reflected something back to me - that I’ve been carrying a weight of self-criticism and sometimes don't realize just how heavy it is. Maybe you’ve felt that too. That quiet pressure to be better, do more, or get it right - you're not alone. Today I’m sharing what the inner critic actually is, how it forms (often in childhood), the subtle ways it shows up in adulthood, and two ways I’m learning to respond. It’s a reminder that your worth was never meant to be earned through productivity, clarity, or doing things perfectly. We can learn a new way of relating to this voice through listening and understanding what it needs, and in time gradually shift its tone to one that is more compassionate. We’ll talk about: * The roots of your inner critic (and what it really wants) * Why you don’t need to fix it, just listen * The power of slowing down without giving up * Why your inner circle of support matters so much Resources: * The Untethered Soul | Michael A. episode #19 You're Not Behind artwork

#19 You're Not Behind

Ever feel like you're revisiting the same cycles you've already worked through? I'm right there with you. In this episode, I’m exploring the patterns that return again and again - not because we’re failing, but because we’re being invited to meet them in a new way. I share how voice and clarity have always been themes in my life, and how even after all the self work, I still find myself circling back. But this time, I’m learning how to bring more compassion, less shame, and a deeper understanding that this is the work - not something to fix, but something to walk with. Let this be your reminder: you’re not behind, and you’re not failing. You’re just human. "You can do it like it's a great weight on you, or you can do it like it's part of the dance" -Ram Dass Reflection prompts: * What patterns or cycles continually come up for me? * Where do I feel like I 'should' be past it by now? * What story do I tell myself when it resurfaces? * How do I respond when that familiar thing returns? * What if it's not something to release but to relearn how to hold? episode #17 Who Are You Without the Roles You Play? artwork

#17 Who Are You Without the Roles You Play?

So many of us learn to see ourselves through the lens of what we do for others - the roles we play, the support we give, the comfort we provide. But what happens when we pause and ask: who am I beyond all of that? In this episode, I share an experience that reminded me how easy it is to tie our identity to how we show up for others… and how important it is to remember that we are lovable simply for being ourselves. We’ll explore the roles we often take on in relationships, why they’re hard to let go of, and what it feels like when those roles begin to shift. It can feel disorienting, but it's also a sign that we're on the path to true alignment. To help reflect, I offer a few journaling prompts: * What do I love doing that has nothing to do with anyone else? * If no one needed anything from me today, what would I choose to do? * What version of me feels the most like me? If this resonates with you, I also recommend these resources that I've found helpful on this journey: * The Gifts of Imperfection | Brené Brown * The Mountain Is You | Brianna Wiest You don’t have to be everything to everyone. You’re allowed to just be you. And the right people will love you for exactly that. Want to go deeper?
