Dr. Brean'a Parker is a Assistant Professor of Counseling and Counselor Education at North Carolina State for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. Brean'a's research program focuses on three tracks: Violence and Trauma within Marginalized Communities, Sustainable Social Justice Counselor Education and Collaborative Healing Praxis for Targeted Communities. Brean'a is passionate about equity and justice based counselor education curriculum and is excited to begin to fulfill her goal of impacting future generations of mental health counselors that will provide culturally and trauma responsive counseling services to those who need it the most.
