Luther Today
Martin Luther studied the Bible continually throughout his life. Not only did he read through the Bible twice a year, but he translated the entire Bible into German, preached on average three sermons a week, and lectured extensively on both Old and New Testament books. All of his theological treatises were based upon texts from Scripture. So why did Luther dedicate his life to the study of the Bible? Why didn't he delve into Aristotle, the writings of Thomas Aquinas or some other theological school of thought?
