We had a chance to speak to a Kashmiri woman by the name of Alia who shared with us what it’s like growing up as a woman in Kashmir when Indian Occupational forces are around every corner.

We had a chance to talk to two Kashmiri boys by the name of Faizan, 17, and Afzal, 15 who discussed how life under occupation has influenced their identities as Kashmiri. Afzal was going out to protests against the Indian state at the age of 10 and Faizan lost his best friend in a shooting by the Indian armed forces when his friend was only 13 years old.

In this episode we had a chance to talk to a Kashmiri journalist about what it’s like reporting from a conflict ridden area and we further discussed the New Media Policy, where India will now formally decide what journalists can and can’t report and Indian authorities have full rights to declare what is real or fake news.

On this episode we discuss the thousands of Kashmiri prisoners languishing in jails throughout Jammu, Kashmir and India. Some are political prisoners while many others are civilians who have been detained by the Indian State on false charges including women and children. We had a chance to interview two Kashmiri men where one has a cousin who was arrested last month on false charges and another whose mother has been in jail for a few years now for protesting peacefully against the Indian State, and is able to communicate with her family only once a month. Many of these individuals are highly educated and their only crime is daring to speak out against the Fascist Indian regime and their mistreatment of Kashmiris and other minorities.

In this episode you will hear the impact of occupation on the mental health of Kashmiri youth. You will also hear about a prominent Martyr in Kashmir. We also had a chance to speak to a brave woman who survived the Bosnian War and whose father was a Martyr that died protecting his people and his homeland.
