He belonged to the well-known Bengali family of Sarojini Naidu. Dr. Nishikant Chattopadhyaye with his family migrated from Bengal to settle in Hyderabad during the British period. Well-versed in several languages, he was a truth seeker in the real sense of the word. He studied religion and its related disciplines in detail. Finally, he became fully convinced of the veracity of Islam. Having found the answer to his quest, he embraced the true faith.
