Descripción

In this episode and the finale of season 4, I have the privilege of having a conversation with ADHD Coach and Neurodiversity Trainer Caitlin Whitmore, about what it has been like being diagnosed later in life with ADHD. Our conversation covers what life was like prior to the diagnosis and if she had prior knowledge about ADHD whilst navigating the struggles that were presented. We talk about the various aspects of life including constant burnout, overwhelm, the feeling of being lost and the assessment and waiting lists. The conversation touches so many areas of Caitlin's life and explains why she went for the assessment, how she felt after the diagnosis and ultimately her choices in life leading to where she is now. A fascinating story and although a common rollercoaster of emotions and mental health, ends with so much positivity about the way forward and how Caitlin now approaches life and her need to help others with ND minds. Season 4, Episode 6. Postpartum ADHD

In this episode we concentrates on the hormone fluctuations postpartum and how having a baby can affect your ADHD presentations. For this subject I have returning guest Psychotherapist and new mother Kate Hough joining me for this deep and meaningful conversation. Kate speaks openly about the hormones that fluctuates during and after pregnancy and how they can affect your ADHD and mental health as well as what happens after childbirth when the hormone levels re-adjust all over again. Knowing what can happen is vital to be able to implement strategies to support yourself, with systems such as revised birth plans, informing the midwife team on the environment that you need and what role they can play in supporting you and therapy all playing a part. Season 4, Episode 5. 'Our Story!'

In this brand new episode, I will be having a conversation with Youth Ambassador Ella Bannister.Ella talks openly about the devastating effects of the NHS waiting lists and lack of any real support for ADHD and ASD assessments in our home county of Oxfordshire. This crisis goes far beyond trying to balance the financial books. This is something that affects thousands of individuals, families, relationships, friendships, careers and the mental health of those who are affected by this crisis. This episode is about Ella, it's about me, it's about you, and it's about everyone affected by this inadequate and seemingly worsening system that ignores and makes light of the support that so many are so desperate for. This is "Our Story!" If you feel anxious, sad, confused, or just not right, let us know - The Abingdon Bridge is there to support you! The Abingdon Bridge (TAB) provides support to those between 13 to 25 years of age. All of their guidance and emotional support is free and confidential.https://www.theabingdonbridge.org.uk/ [https://www.theabingdonbridge.org.uk/] Our Oxfordshire based ADHD peer-to-peer support group is a community of adults, who are either on an ADHD journey themselves or are parents/carers of a child with diagnosed or undiagnosed ADHD. In-person meetings are held every other week and alternate between the 'Adult Journey’ and the ‘Parent/Carer Journey'. We share experiences, advice on living with ADHD, provide emotional support and we all learn more about this neuro-developmental disorder. [https://linktr.ee/Thewanderingminds] https://linktr.ee/Thewanderingminds https://linktr.ee/meandadhdpodcast

We cover topical information about popular social media claims regarding various supplements and the effects they have....or don't have on our ADHD presentations. * Trigger warning. In this episode we begin to cover the overlap that ADHD has with eating disorders.
