Memory Lane
In this short clip, Shaykh Ibrāhīm highlights a common yet serious tajwīd issue heard in some Tarāwīḥ recitations: the omission of Mudūd Aṣliyyah due to excessive speed. When a fatḥah followed by an alif, a ḍammah followed by a wāw, or a kasrah followed by a yāʾ is not given its due length, an entire letter can effectively be dropped from the recitation. This reminder underscores the importance of precision, balance, and care when reciting the Qurʾān - especially in congregational prayers. A beneficial reminder for imams, students of Qurʾān, and all those striving to perfect their recitation. _________ SiblingsOfIlm is an online community for ṭullāb ul-ʿilm producing; articles, book reviews, webinars/courses, educational videos, infographics and much more!
