Love Persevering: Exploring Grief

Love Persevering: Exploring Grief “But what is grief if not love persevering?” -Vision (from the Marvel Studios series WandaVision) In this episode will focus on grief. I was inspired for a couple of reasons, the first being that the 12th anniversary of my mom’s passing is approaching as of the release of this episode. Also, I’ve come across a number of people who have been struggling with the idea that their own grief processes are taking longer than others in their lives (in some cases themselves as well) have the patience for. Truth is, when we lose someone close to us, the mourning never fully ends; we simply learn to carry on as we are ready and build around the hole that the loss left in our being. It never does truly fill in, we simply learn to adapt to the hole. Of course grief doesn’t come as a result of death, even though it’s the first thing we naturally think of. But there are grieving processes that result from loss of all kinds. Loss of a home, a job or career, ending of a friendship, even the ending of a way of life as we know it, as we’ve all experienced to some degree in the last couple of years for obvious reasons. Be aware, this episode does contain occasional strong language in the form of occasional cuss words used (would probably fall into a PG-13 or TV-14 rating in the US). Exploring the Masculine

(How Does It Feel) When You're Loved

(Titled with apologies to Van Hagar [https://youtu.be/OZGXRCI-JzQ]) Asking the question while motivated by seeing a large amount of heart signs and being reminded that ultimately, when we release all the mental, social, and other junk, all we want is to love and be loved. Our fear is leading us to be unable to see the humanity in each other, especially those who trigger our fears the most. What is that leading to? How can we shift that? What would that even look like? Some questions to ponder: What if at the end of the day we are all just a bunch of scared little kids trying to figure it all out? If we are all equal, then don't we have more power that we give ourselves credit for? What if we shifted that power into building instead of dividing our communities? What if we sought the common ground (and don't believe the news or social media, we all can find common ground) instead of fighting over words and concepts that if we can find solutions to in an overnight if we just cut out those who benefit from…well, this? Nightmare By Airline

A tale of a round trip flight that was a no good, bad ,terrible, awful experience. It is also a  tale of celebration.
