Morning Mayhem
Crikey! Welcome to a wild Wednesday at Woodland, May 13th! Today’s the big one—Penguin Plunge Day! We’ve got a schedule change with advisory moved to the end of the day so everyone can see the legends taking the dive. We learned some "beaut" facts about these flightless birds: they use tuxedo camouflage to hide from predators, have solid bones for sinking, and can’t even taste their fishy dinners! A group on land is a waddle, but in the water, it’s a raft! In global news, King Charles is addressing a shaky Parliament, and Shein is battling Temu in court over stolen images—what a croc! Across the pond in Greece, a 3rd-century BC theater has reopened—gorgeous! Woodland sports are on fire, with boys tennis and baseball securing wins, while girls tennis crushed it against St. Paul, winning 6-1. Today’s mascot was the Fitch Falcons! Don’t miss Fine Arts Night tomorrow or the esports talk on the 19th. Watch out for Sean Gibbs in the pool today—he’s a real trooper!
