Where has Civility Gone?

As an educator and citizen I have seen civility in political discourse erode over the years. It concerns me. Politics has always been “rough and tumble,” but in my view it’s gotten worse…more polarized and petty and divisive. This commentary reflects on the loss of civility in politics and frankly in other walks of life. It is, however, more of a plea to not give up on our political system and perhaps even restore some civility!
