Nobody Knows Anything
Well, it was a pretty big weekend. The New York Times reported on Kash Patel's big snorkel trip [https://www.nytimes.com/2026/05/15/us/politics/patel-fbi-travel-snorkeling-pearl-harbor.html], (but said it was to prepare for adversaries attacking). Needless to say, we had a little fun with that. But the big discussion for this episode was about 2026 dyanmics: Trump flexing his muscle over his GOP enemies between Bill Cassidy over the weekend and Thomas Massie on Tuesday. We talk about what the former means for the latter. We also talk about Graham Platner's big interview in the Maine Senate race. There's a lot of discussion about whether or not Graham Platner really is working class -- or whether his middle class upbringing disqualifies him from being working class now. Plus: Lots of debate about the ethics of paying influencers, particularly with Tom Steyer in California. Rob's paid an influencer or two in his day, and talks about the evolving and curious ethics of paid influence on campaigns.
