Conversation with my daughter, Jay, the girl who made me a mom, and the young lady who keeps teaching me how to grow into each phase of motherhood. This episode is a tender, honest, real-time conversation on the things I keep thinking I should have done differently, the patience I learned, the calm I wish I had carried sooner, and the encouragement I hope she always remembers. We chat about expression, boundaries, responsibility, body awareness, self-respect, and the beauty of watching your child become someone you admire. Jay is small but mighty, just at 19, responsible, informed, financially conscious, expressive, and fearless when she wants to be. As her mom, I learned that motherhood is not about forcing who they become; it is about loving loudly, giving them room to meet themselves, and watching (while also journaling it) all as her mother.

First page on why I'm finally opening this journal out loud, and what's to come this season. This is my New York-born, California-raised, Miami-schooled, Central Florida-living, American-Colombian Latina Life, unscripted, real today, while sitting in the Aldi parking lot, because I thought it opened at 8 am. After ask after asks to share how I move through 4 am workouts, nurse life, nursing leadership, home life, wife life, motherhood, Ir al Sol, HYROX training, community volunteering, family, friends, again parents, siblings, and all the little 'how did I even get here?' moments... Decided to bring you along for the day-to-day ride. Oooh, and how I would love to journal a page with you on a page!
