Technology is facilitating new ways of tracking the implementation of education budgets and policies and promoting accountability. From mobile apps that monitor school meals to AI-driven teacher allocation, information and communication technologies (ICTs) are giving citizens new tools to ensure transparency in education. In this episode, we explore how civil society organizations are leveraging digital platforms to fight corruption, improve school services, and empower citizens. Emma Cardoso, the Programme lead and chief of party of the Civil Society Learning and Training Center in Mozambique, shares the experience of the Olavula platform, and Muriel Poisson, Team leader for Knowledge Generation and Mobilization at IIEP-UNESCO shares findings from a mapping of ICT use by civil society organizations belonging to EOL network.
