Descripción

The latest episode of Podcasting the parables was such a wonderful conversation that it had to be split into two parts. In the midst of all the responsibilities of being a Dean at All Saints Camp, Fr. Jonathan sits down his fellow Deans, Dr. Angela Urick, The Rev. Barbara Kelton, and The Rev. Perry Mullins. In this first part they share memories and stories from Camps past, give a little insight to the week they shared together with a hundred or so others, and touch on the theme for our year, companions on the way. Look for Part 2 of the conversation early next week. This episode features the importance of summer camps in our lives, and in light of the recent tragedies in central Texas, where camps around the Guadalupe River Valley experienced devastating flooding, we hope you will consider making a donation to the Diocese of West Texas Support Fund for Flood Relief. An Echoing Yes - Outreach at St. James

Each Sunday in September, St. James highlights and commissions each of the ministries that provide ways to connect, serve, and worship as a community. As we look forward to our Outreach Sunday this week, we sit down to talk with Jan McCorstin, Chair of our Mission and Outreach Committee, who shares the story of her first Yes to joining something new, and how that yes was an echo of all of those who had said Yes before her. This Sunday we will host Dr. Scott Kellerman and Bishop James Stanton to help tell the story of The Kellermann Foundation and the partnership with St. James over more than two decades of ministry together. __________ From St. James Episcopal Church, a vibrant community of faith in the Lake Highlands  neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, Welcome to Podcasting the Parables. Part Two of the Summer Camp Conversation

Part two of the Summer Camp conversation features stories and memories from The Rev. Barbara Kelton, recalling her decades experience not only as a priest, but the first woman who completed the ordination process in the Diocese of Dallas. The conversation is a joyful recollection of a life of faith from a living saint shared with Fr. Jonathan Melton, Dr. Angela Urick, and Fr. Perry Mullins. ------ This episode features the importance of summer camps in our lives, and in light of the recent tragedies in central Texas, where camps around the Guadalupe River Valley experienced devastating flooding, we hope you will consider making a donation to the Diocese of West Texas Support Fund for Flood Relief. [https://dwtx.fellowshiponego.com/external/form/f759d68a-f266-4968-806d-51941f70919e] ------ From St. James Episcopal Church, a vibrant community of faith in the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, Welcome to Podcasting the Parables. The VBS Episode

During VBS we sat down with Jr. Helpers, Adult Volunteers, and a couple of children participating in VBS to share experiences and stories of our week together. With SO MANY special guests, this episode is full of laughs and reminders that we are, together, all contributing from ourselves to create beautiful communities of faith at St. James. Give the newest episode a listen and let us know any memories you have from VBS in the past. --------------- From St. James Episcopal Church, a vibrant community of faith in the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, Welcome to Podcasting the Parables. Repairs on The Road

Easter is a season! And in it we remember the ways Jesus interacted with his disciples in the midst of their many emotions, doubt, fear, worry, and shame being some of them. Through these interactions we are reminded that Jesus' conquering of death is not the triumphal end but a continued invitation to living a new way. - - - - - - - - - From St. James Episcopal Church, a vibrant community of faith in the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, Welcome to Podcasting the Parables.
