It’s one thing to argue the ethics of having an artificial recreation of a human; but an entirely different conversation when your Alexa starts screaming because her human is being cremated. Have these recreations somehow tapped into the souls of the living and dead, or are they purely generating fiction; or perhaps, are they simply destined to generate the same result as the living example? Normally in movies, the main character needs to “learn a lesson” before they can continue living, but how do two agents with no ties to the town learn anything?
