Last week, we each attended a ‘town hall’ about the WRDSB strategic plan. Here we compare notes and conclude that many parents are hungry for a town hall, which these events did not even remotely resemble. Instead, parents were directed to unattended stations where they could silently read a placard and place written comments in a suggestion box. Usefully, staff and trustees were on hand and available for discussion.
