"Primer on Liberia" will bring to world listeners the story of the west African nation of Liberia through the lively discussion of the students of the Mary Help of Christians School in Monrovia. In the second episode -- the students talk about the close connection of the nations of the United States and Liberia and the desire of many young Liberians to travel and study in America. In their conversation they discuss the need to hold onto their pan-African heritage and the influence of American attitudes and customs on their lives. When Father Philip meets the youngest students he is quite pleased with his exuberant reception. But is concerned about the cooler greeting from the senior students at the school.
