Captain Kimberly Juroviesky is a true inspiration and real-life superhero. After becoming disabled from an injury she incurred during active duty in the US Air Force, the only thing that helped Kimberly’s debilitating pain was ketamine infusions. To help others receive the treatment they desperately need but can’t afford, Kimberly has been on a decade-plus fight to get ketamine treatment covered by insurance, founding the non-profits The Ketamine Taskforce and Healing Our Heroes Foundation.  Tune in to hear how this incredible crusader and her team of dedicated volunteers are winning the fight and changing the paradigm for insurance coverage in the US. And please support their work at KetamineTaskForce.org.

episode Carolyn "Mountain Girl" Garcia artwork

Carolyn "Mountain Girl" Garcia

Carolyn "Mountain Girl" Garcia, the legendary godmother of the hippie counterculture and former wife of Grateful Dead’s Jerry Garcia, has been called the “it girl of the nascent psychedelic underground.” Tune in, turn on, and drop your jaw as Mountain Girl shares stories from her incredible lifetime of adventures as well as wisdom for the psychonauts of today.  From showing up as a stranger on Timothy Leary’s doorstep at age 17 to sampling ibogaine alone in a lab at Stanford at age 19 to playing a pivotal role in the Merry Prankster’s infamous Acid Tests of the 1960s, Mountain Girl regales listeners with tales of the early days of The Grateful Dead, raising daughters with Ken Kesey and Jerry Garcia, and experiencing her own mind-expanding growth with psychedelics.

episode Amber Capone artwork

Amber Capone

As the Co-Founder and Executive Director of VETS: Veterans Exploring Treatment Options, Amber Capone has built and led the organization from a grassroots movement into a nationally-recognized nonprofit that has assisted over 800 veterans to receive psychedelic-assisted therapy treatment outside the U.S., as well as preparation and integration coaching and extensive support for veteran spouses.  But Amber’s inspirational advocacy really began as a love story. When her husband, Marcus Capone, returned from 13 years of combat deployment as a U.S. Navy Seal with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and on the brink of suicide, Amber was desperate to save him. As a last ditch effort after years of failed treatments, Marcus travelled to Mexico to receive treatment with the psychedelic medicine ibogaine — and immediately went from having 80% bad days to 80% good days, with continued improvement ever since.  Amber and Marcus have since dedicated their lives to helping as many veterans as possible receive the healing they deserve and stopping veteran suicide. With her current work on Capital Hill, Amber and VETS are on the forefront of changing U.S. psychedelic laws. I dare you to listen to this interview without crying!
