Pulot-an: Kwentuhang Sosyolohiya

Podcast de UP Alliance of Students Unified for Sociology

Pulot-an ng kwentong sosyolohikal!

Pulot-an S.2 (Episode 3): What is the plight of our jeepney drivers and why does it matter?

The previous Pulot-an season primarily focused on introducing and laymanizing sociology. For this season, we will be revving things up by applying concepts from sociology to an issue that affects us all: TRAFFIC! And to make things more interesting, we will be incorporating in our discussions jeepneys—a unique icon in the Philippine traffic scene. For the last episode of this year’s Pulot-an, our discussion will look back on the history of the plight of our manong draybers, as well as their most current ordeal with the pandemic. In relation, we will once again hark back to the notions of C.W. Mills on our sociological imagination, and use this as our fuel in realizing our role as their pasaheros in fighting against unfair system changes, such as jeepney modernization.
