Prayer has the power to bless you

This devotional is for the person who has a weak and inconsistent prayer life; For the person who's been praying fervently for deliverance or a blessing and is losing faith that their prayer will get answered. Someone hearing this needs to understand just how powerful that is. God doesn't have to do this. He is God. He doesn't have to be at our beck and call, but He chooses to. His grace is that good. By nature, we are sinful and disobedient children. We don't deserve to have a single prayer answered, but God loves and cares for us so much that He dispenses angels, fights battles, sends blessings, and heals us all because His love runs deeper than our sins. “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭21‬:‭22‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18‬:‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. “Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists. Then the angel said to him, “Put on your clothes and sandals.” And Peter did so. “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me,” the angel told him. Peter followed him out of the prison, but he had no idea that what the angel was doing was really happening; he thought he was seeing a vision. They passed the first and second guards and came to the iron gate leading to the city. It opened for them by itself, and they went through it. When they had walked the length of one street, suddenly the angel left him. Then Peter came to himself and said, “Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen.”” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭12‬:‭6‬-‭11‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭12‬:‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91‬:‭11‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “A hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. He said, “Daniel, you who are highly esteemed, consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling. Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.” ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬-‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “pray continually,” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬ “Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be.
