This will be the second time we are performing "Shimekomi." "Shimekomi" is a humorous story full of humanity, set in the tenement houses where common people lived in the Edo period. The fun of this story lies in the setting itself, a tenement house in the Edo period. The walls of tenement houses at that time were incomparably thin compared to modern apartments, and the conversations and daily sounds of neighbors could be heard clearly. It was a close-knit community with almost no privacy. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices [https://podcastchoices.com/adchoices]
