After early work in art, film festivals, and television, she founded The Institute for Art and Olfaction (IAO) [https://www.instagram.com/artandolfaction/]in 2012 as a nonprofit advancing access and experimentation in perfumery. Through the IAO, she established many programs and initiatives, including the Art and Olfaction Awards [https://www.artandolfactionawards.org], the Experimental Scent Summit [https://artandolfaction.com/projects/ess/], the biennial Scent Week LA [https://scentweek.com], as well as the IAO’s educational, exhibition, and library initiatives [https://artandolfaction.com/projects/iaolibrary/] (in collaboration with her colleagues at the IAO). After forming the project in 2006, he quickly signed with a Swedish label and gained international attention when a 2008 track went viral on MySpace, leading to a move to London and deals with Big Life Management and Geffen Records.
