Discovering Charisms: Scripture Alive Through the Holy Spirit The conversation between Dr. Mary Healy and Katsey Long explores when Scripture becomes “alive,” with Dr. Healy describing encounters with the Lord, especially during graduate school at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where learning about the Holy Spirit and receiving prayer to be baptized in the Holy Spirit made Scripture powerful and applicable. They discuss how baptized and confirmed Christians have the Holy Spirit yet may still need deeper Pentecost-like transformation—joy, boldness, freedom from fear, and zeal for evangelization—seen in Acts.
