Hello, hello, and welcome to another episode of the Red Couch Theology podcast. This week we have Erin Young joining us on the show because she brought the message this past Sunday and we talk about serving and how sometimes the difficulty of serving is that the person that we're called to serve, which is everyone that is nearby us, that's what Jesus says as a neighbor. Sometimes those people are people that we don't like, or we struggle with, or who are dangerous, and so we explore on today's show, how does God invite us to learn to love those people and be curious about them, even if they're normally someone we might be nervous around or afraid of.Send in your questions: https://redcouchtheology.com/

When Loving Your Neighbor Feels Impossible

Hello, hello, and welcome to another episode of the Red Couch Theology podcast. Hey, this week we talked about Sunday's sermon where Alex kicked off our neighboring series and we talked about how difficult this actually can be to learn to love our neighbor as ourselves. What if our neighbor is the worst, and if, like we learned on Sunday, our neighbor. Is anyone around us in proximity to us? Are we really expected to love people who harm us or abuse us? What's that even mean? And what happens if we don't love ourselves? How are we supposed to love our neighbor if we don't love ourselves in the first place? We deal with some of these questions along the way, and let's dive right in.Send in your questions: https://redcouchtheology.com/
