This sermon from Acts 8 shows how God used persecution, suffering, and even the death of Stephen to push the gospel beyond Jerusalem and into Judea and Samaria, proving that what the enemy meant for evil, God used to move His mission forward. As the church scattered, ordinary believers carried the good news with them, reminding us that the mission belongs to every Spirit-filled follower of Jesus, not just pastors or church leaders. Through Philip’s ministry in Samaria, we see that the gospel crosses boundaries, brings joy where it is least expected, and confronts counterfeit spirituality that wants spiritual power without surrender. The story of Simon exposes the danger of being near the things of God without truly being submitted to God, while the Samaritans receiving the Holy Spirit shows that Jesus is building one united church under one Lord. The Weight of Glory - 05.17.26 - Kyle Morris

This sermon walks through Acts 6:8–7:60 and the story of Stephen, an ordinary man full of faith and the Holy Spirit who courageously stands before false accusations, suffering, and death with his eyes fixed on Jesus. Stephen’s speech shows that the temple and the law were never meant to be ultimate, but were signposts pointing to the greater reality of Christ, the Righteous One who fulfilled the law and made a way for sinners to be made right with God. His death reveals what Spirit-filled courage looks like: not denying suffering, but seeing that the temporary weight of pain cannot compare with the eternal weight of glory. Like the 21 Coptic Christians who died with the name of Jesus on their lips, Stephen reminds us that followers of Jesus can suffer and even die with hope, forgiveness, and peace because Jesus is alive, standing in glory, and ready to receive His people. The Unbreakable Love of Christ - 04.26.26 - Kyle Morris

In this message from Romans 8:28–39, we are reminded that God is not distant or passive in our lives, but actively working in every circumstance to accomplish His good purposes. That “good” is not a promise of an easy or pain-free life, but that we would be formed into the image of Jesus. Even in suffering, nothing is wasted. God uses both the highs and the hardships to shape us, grow us, and deepen our trust in Him. Because our salvation is fully initiated and secured by God from beginning to end, we can live with unshakable confidence. If God is for us, no opposition can ultimately stand against us, no accusation can stick, and no circumstance can separate us from His love. The result is a life marked not by fear or control, but by surrender, trust, and the deep assurance that we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us. The Spirit Suffers with us - 04.19.26 - Kyle Morris

In this message from Romans 8:14–28, we are reminded that the Holy Spirit meets us right in the middle of a broken and suffering world, giving us confidence, identity, and hope. Paul calls us to “do the math” and see that our present suffering, while real and painful, cannot compare to the future glory that is coming. We are not alone in our struggle, all of creation is groaning for restoration, and yet we groan with hope, like childbirth that leads to new life. Through it all, the Spirit assures us that we are adopted children of God, invites us to cry out to Him as our Father, and even intercedes for us when we don’t have the words to pray.
