Winter Poetry Reading

As these cold days and long, wintry nights continue for a spell, I’m wishing you deep comfort, and hopes that winter’s embrace might at least at times be nurturing, cozy, restful. “As winter wraps her cloak around / She lights the fire…and gathers bones” I tend to write more poetry in these deepwinter times – perhaps in a desperate attempt to find and remember beauty amidst such austerity. Small, hidden treasures in the shapes of stone, held in ice, sparkling in the stars… I share them now in case they may soften or rekindle frozen bits of soul in these most interesting of times. May they be one small drop of medicine… An antidode. A spark. A remembrance.
