Akash Kanojia is a finance professor at UT Austin, former management consultant, lawyer, and eight years deep in a men's emotional processing group. In this episode, Saara and Akash get into how his career trajectory, from law to consulting to the Federal Reserve to teaching, has always been in pursuit of his innate curiosities. They discuss sunk costs and career transitions, the value of emotional intelligence in leadership, and why most members of his men's group ended up leaving their W-2 jobs. They also explore the creative process, their shared Artist's Way experience, reading as fuel for Akash's creative fire, and what it looks like to build a life learning and communicating what you've learned.
